Starting September 16Metro Manila will be under Alert Level 4, which is part of the new five-step Alert Level system to replace the GCQ-MGCQ scheme. Most of the rules are based on age-based mobility as well as indoor restrictions, while interzonal leisure travel is allowed depending on the quarantine guidelines of your destination. 

Boracay is now accepting travelers from MGCQ, GCQ, and the National Capital Region starting on Thursday, September 16. However, only those aged 18 to 65 are allowed to visit the island as confirmed by the Malay Tourism Office on September 15.

Here are the latest Boracay travel requirements (as of September 15):

  • Negative RT-PCR test result (swab or saliva) with 72 hours validity for non-Aklanon travelers
  • Hotel reservation from Department of Tourism-accredited establishment with Certificate of Authority to Operate
  • Government-issued ID
  • Travel itinerary
  • S-Pass registration
  • Health declaration through touristboracay.com
